The next sets of walks are coming up in the middle of April 2010. We often begin asking for Pilgrims (usually men) and receive several Pilgrim applications the last week before the walk. In order for the registrar to confirm and approve the pilgrims we are asking that you submit your pilgrim applications by March 27, 2010. This allows the Lay Directors to plan for the team and is a sign of responsible sponsorship. It also allows the sponsor and the pilgrim enough time to prepare for the weekend. There are plenty of seats available at “HIS” table for these walks, so let’s get to work!
The Florida Sonrise Emmaus Board has approved the use of new pilgrim registration forms and sponsorship guidelines. Copies will be available at the January gathering and on this website. If you are praying about sponsoring a pilgrim, let’s go ahead and call them early, spend time with them and answer their questions, and get their application submitted.

The Florida Sonrise Emmaus Board has approved the use of new pilgrim registration forms and sponsorship guidelines. Copies will be available at the January gathering and on this website. WOW!
I want to let the FSE Community know what a blessing your prayers, agape and financial support provided for the men in the Bahamas. We had 15 men on the Walk. Two men were bishops and five were pastors. What a blessing that these clergy had the opportunity to be ministered to, instead of having to minister to others.
The men of Walk #1 are awesome Brothers in Christ. We had an amazing inside and outside team that worked tirelessly with the handful of local Community to provide the best possible weekend experience for these men. I communicated with Demcie Re and she expressed what a blessing was had at the Women’s Walk also. The new Community in the Bahamas has an uphill climb coming. There is very little experience, a very small community, financial issues, and facility issues to deal with.
The steering committee has already announced their next Walk dates for April of 2010. I will continue to serve as liaison from the our Community and hope that our Florida Sonrise Emmaus Community can continue to support this new Bahamas Sonshine Community with our prayers, our money and agape.
